Congratulations to our Might Barons JV team on their victory over Marina

Boys’ Varsity Basketball continues to win!  Even with missing three starters due to SAT testing, the team still found a way to win, earning a thrilling one point victory over Long Beach Wilson with Sean Huynh getting the game winning steal and assist to Paul Vu for the winning basket and a terrific team defensive stop and rebound to seal the victory. All players contributed. Boys’ Varsity Basketball finished their summer league winning 85% of their games and just finished undefeated in pre-season play. Their first official game will be a home game in Berger Gym in two weeks.

Attention all baseball players. Baseball tryouts will be held Nov 16th through the 18th at 3:15pm. Please bring a hat, glove, cleats and wear proper baseball attire. If you have any question, please see Coach Y in room 114 before 1st period.

Welcome Back to FVHS!

Welcome back to FVHS Barons! We hope you had a fun and restful summer. Here are a few important reminders on how to start off this school year right:

Student Schedules

Student room numbers for their first class will be available on the Administration windows (facing the bowl) at 6:30 am on Wednesday, August 31. Student ID numbers will be listed in numerical order.  Each student will have a printout of their full schedule, with room numbers and teacher names, given to them during their first class of the day.  We are also hoping to have their full schedules available on their Aeries Student Portal on Tuesday evening 8/30.
Student Drop Off

Traffic is very challenging in front of FVHS during the first few days of school.
There are administrators and supervision staff here on campus as early as 7:00 am. Drop off early and avoid the congestion or use an off-campus drop off location. If you drop off at school, be sure to follow the traffic flow (enter at the signal and exit at the track–right turn only from there). Your student should be ready to get out of the car immediately when safely stopped. Our campus supervision is in the parking lot monitoring traffic for the safety of your child. There is absolutely NO STUDENT DROP OFF in the STAFF parking lot.
Textbook Distribution & ID Cards

All students will be checking out their textbooks during the first five days of school.  It is important that everyone brings their 2016-2017 student ID cards to school EACH DAY so they can easily check out books using the bar code reader.

If students didn’t pick up their ID card during registration, they can get it in the front office once they have turned in their emergency card printout from Aeries.  Make-up ID cards and pictures are available in the Library before and after school and at lunch on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Aloha Dance This Friday, September 2

Doors open at 6:00 pm in the FVHS Gym.  The dance is from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Get your pre-sale tickets at lunch (with SuperBaron=$6, Regular=$8) or pay $2 more at the door (SB=$8, Regular=$10).  Freshmen are free!
